Recollections of Red" are a brief series of sketches I did for a little Ferrari related fun. There is nothing quite as instantly gratifying for an artist as sketching. Not only does it keep your skills sharp, it also has a fresh, honest quality because its' spontaneous nature keeps the artwork from becoming belaboured. As with much of my work, I kept the sketches very loose and energetic in an attempt to capture motion and add a sense of energy. Mix in some vibrant red pencil work and you've got my own personal red mist sketchbook.
